Frank H Sobey Awards for Excellence in Business Studies Awarded: Eight Students Finish the School Year with $45,000 Scholarships

STELLARTON, N.S. – On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Frank H. Sobey Awards, as well as Sobeys Inc. and indeed the entire Sobey family, we are thrilled to welcome this year’s winners. They are:

These award recipients are selected by the Frank H Sobey Awards Board of Trustees comprised of Atlantic Canadian business and academic leaders. The eight winners were chosen from 34 exceptional nominations provided by their Deans, based on their entrepreneurship, supporting the communities in which they live and work and their employment experience. All 26 candidates on the long list will receive a $3,500 prize in recognition of their inspiring achievements.
Since 1989, the Frank H. Sobey Awards have been awarded to 215 emerging business leaders from Atlantic Canada. These exceptional business students and future leaders, along with the Deans, will be honoured at an annual spring celebration of their amazing achievements.

About the Frank H. Sobey Awards for Excellence in Business Studies
The Frank H. Sobey Awards for Excellence in Business Studies presents awards of $45,000 each. All full-time business students attending Atlantic universities are eligible for consideration. Deans of Business at each university nominate candidates who have demonstrated a high level of entrepreneurship, a commitment to supporting the communities in which they live and work and relevant employment experience.
Established in 1989, the Frank H. Sobey Awards for Excellence in Business Studies have awarded more than $3 Million to business students in the four Atlantic Provinces. Each university in the region offering a business program has had at least one recipient of a Frank H. Sobey Award.
